Another page from the journal of a teenage girl, homeless, struggling to survive on the streets. ~ I learned another very hard lesson that day while in Melody’s apartment with her sister Beth. I only wish it had been someone else rather than Beth because I really believe we could have become good friends if fate had allowed it.

Another page from the journal of a teenage girl, homeless, struggling to survive on the streets. ~ She stood there, as if frozen, her mouth wide open, as if waiting for the words to find there way out. I watched the blood drain away from her face, her skin went pale to an almost ashen hue, revealing her undeniable shock, stunned, at finding me standing here before her. Read more »

Another page from the journal of a teenage girl, homeless, struggling to survive on the streets. ~ I was sitting on the grass, exhausted, leaning against tree trunk, my arms around me tight, trying to keep myself warm. My whole body ached, I felt as if I’d been hit by a truck or something. Every movement, a painful reminder of my stepfather.
